Made for little patients
The Story Behind Dental Works Kids
Dental Works Kids began with a simple idea: children shouldn’t have to feel nervous about visiting the dentist.
Too often, young patients are seen in clinics designed for adults – unfamiliar surroundings, rushed appointments and little explanation of what’s actually happening. We wanted something different. A practice built entirely around children, from the surroundings right down to the way we speak with every young patient who walks through our door.
Our team specialises in paediatric dental care, with the training and patience to work with nervous children, toddlers on their very first visit, and teenagers alike. We take the time to explain, reassure, and build trust – because a positive first experience with the dentist can shape a child’s relationship with their oral health for life.

Built Around Your Child's Needs
Dental Works Kids is more than just a dental clinic. It’s a space where children feel comfortable, supported, and even excited to visit.
Our experienced team is specially trained to care for young patients, including nervous children, ensuring every appointment is calm, reassuring and tailored to their needs. We take the time to build trust, explain treatments in a child-friendly way, and create a positive relationship with dental care from day one.
We also understand that some children need extra time, patience, or a different approach – including those with SEND, sensory sensitivities or additional anxieties. Our team adapts each visit accordingly, so every child feels safe and understood.

A story from one of our families
We had a fantastic experience with The Dental Works after my 8-year-old daughter knocked half her tooth out at school. After struggling to find anyone locally who could see us, Beth on reception was incredibly helpful - she asked for a photo straight away and quickly called back to fit us in that evening. The practice is very child-friendly, with screens on the ceiling where kids can watch whatever they like, which really helped put my daughter at ease. She was understandably very upset, but Dr Rachel was absolutely brilliant - calm, kind, and highly skilled. She managed to cement the tooth back in while making sure the whole experience wasn’t traumatic. They even called the next day to check in and saw her again the following week free of charge to make sure everything was healing well. Truly excellent care, great with children, and very knowledgeable. Highly recommend.
